Hello everyone, my name is JaiMaria, and I’m the creator of Movement for Mental Health! I created this organization because of my personal journey with fitness and depression, and anxiety. If it weren’t for exercise, I wouldn’t have the hope I have today, and I wouldn’t have been able to overcome some of my hardest days. While fitness isn’t a cure-all to everything, it’s scientifically proven that exercise helps combat adverse mental health effects. It also supports strong bones and muscles and gives you a positive outlook on life in and out of the gym and so much more! With my platform, my goal is to foster community, bring awareness to combatting depression and anxiety, and share the importance of movement throughout all aspects of life!
